The PG 5 Parking Ticket Dispenser is a fully automatic ticket vending machine. The design is such that it offers the maximum in reliability, efficient operation and easy maintenance thereby, providing an economical solution to automatic parking access control.

The PG 5, at which point this can automatically issue a ticket or act as an arming command if a push button is fitted, detects the presence of a vehicle. When the ticket is issued and is drawn from the mouth a signal is given for the PG 6 Barrier Gate to raise, at which time if the ticket vend interlock connections have been made from the PG 6 Barrier Gate, the PG 5 is blocked from issuing a further ticket until the barrier is lowered.

The ticket is imprinted with time, date and a eight (8) character location code and a seven (7) digit serial number.
